To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Knott’s Berry Farm, Southern California’s original theme park called on Triotech to create an exciting, fun-for-all-ages, 4D interactive dark ride based on the classic Bear-y Tales story. With a team of experts and a solid track record around the world, Triotech designed the attraction, the scenic theming, and produced the animation and gaming system. The result is a ride in which guests climb aboard vehicles equipped with jelly blasters on a mission to recover stolen boysenberry pies from Crafty Coyote and his mischievous pups. Enhanced with 4D effects and interactivity, the slow-moving dark ride experience travels through whimsical and beautiful environments that reimagine show scenes from the original dark ride.
Triotech has been a great partner for Cedar Fair and Knott’s Berry Farm. When we first worked with them on Wonder Mountain’s Guardian, the guest reaction from what they were able to do on that ride led to an automatic ‘Okay let’s bring it to Knott’s Berry Farm'.
Triotech is the leader in customizable media-based interactive dark ride systems. Our creativity and technology have been recognized by a Brass Ring Award for Best New Product as well as IAAPA’s prestigious Impact Award.Learn more
Combining interactivity and projection mapping, illusio™ technology creates the illusion that objects are lifelike, and produces a seamless blend between physical and projected decor. It creates smooth transitions between scenes and simplifies the renewal process in that the projected theming can be easily changed while the physical décor remains the same.Learn more

[…] The marriage of modern interactive elements and witty, classic dark ride creates an attraction with re-rideability that many guests will continue to enjoy for years to come.
The new ride is so amazing. It feels like a great nod to the past while pushing into some really advanced screen-based technology. It’s really going to push other parks to do better when it comes to their screen based ride tech.
